April 6, 2017
Boosting the success of our Cheltenham Festival Preview evening, a superb £8,752.74 raised has been presented to the Injured Jockeys Fund. The charitable cheque was presented at our Church Farm HQ by Mike Tucker from Cotswold Wagyu (pictured left) and Jeremy Hill (right) of Vinotopia Wines - co-hosts of the evening. Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Injured Jockeys Fund was senior almoner of the charity, Chicky Oaksey (centre).
Commenting, Mike Tucker said: "Our thanks go to our auction donors, bidders and guests for their great generosity and to Alan King and all involved for their enthusiasm and support. We're delighted that such a significant sum was raised for this excellent cause and thank Chicky Oaksey for coming to receive the cheque today."
The Cheltenham Festival Preview evening was held at the delightful and historic Chavenage House near Tetbury. Guests enjoyed a Champagne and canapes reception before top racing trainer, Alan King shared entertaining insights on the Festival to come. Guests tucked into a delicious dinner of Wagyu with matched wines and the charity auction saw guests dig deep and bid generously.
